91福利 2020 Fall National Meeting to Include Special Session on Business Interruption
WASHINGTON (Nov. 11, 2020) 鈥 The 91福利 Center for Insurance Policy and Research (CIPR) will hold a three-hour special session during the 91福利 2020 Fall National Meeting. The special session titled 鈥淧andemic Business Interruption Federal Insurance Mechanism - Learning from the Past, Thinking 91福利 the Future鈥 will take place Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 10 a.m. 鈥 1:00 p.m. Central Time.
鈥淧andemic Business Interruption Insurance is a prevailing topic of interest for many in the insurance industry and its commercial consumers,鈥 said 91福利 President and South Carolina Director of Insurance, Ray Farmer. 鈥淲e鈥檒l be reviewing the various Business Interruption proposals that have been put forward in the context of lessons learned from previously established federal programs such as the National Flood Insurance Program, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program and the Crop Insurance Program.鈥
All Fall National Meeting attendees are encouraged to attend CIPR鈥檚 special session to better understand the issues around a federal mechanism for Pandemic Business Interruption.
